Omschrijving

• Genereuze, volfruitige, kruidige rode wijn met mooi versmolten, fluweelzachte tannines
• 12 maanden gerijpt, deels in betonnen cuves, deels in eikenhouten bordelese barriques en grote (50hl) fouders
• Alcoholpercentage: 14,5%
• Gastronomie: de wijn past uitstekend bij een zomerse BBQ, gegrild rood vlees, lamskroon/lamsbout met mediterrane groenten/kruiden/ratatouille, gesauteerde hoevekip met morieljes, Aziatische ‘sticky’ spareribs, en kruidige stoofschotels (zoals Cassoulet of Boeuf bourguignon)
• Toekomst: Nu reeds mooi op dronk, maar met bewaarpotenieel (tot 2028)

  • Bekroond met ‘3 Étoilles’ en een ‘Coup de Cœur’ in de Guide HACHETTE 2025 (‘La Pompadour accroche un nouveau coup de cœur à son palmarès déjà très fourni et y ajoute les trois étoiles. Ce qui a tant plu  ? Ses arômes chaleureux de moût de raisin, de confiture de griottes et de réglisse, et le très gourmand velouté d’une bouche ample et séveuse, ourlée de tanins fondants ouvrant sur une très longue finale épicée’)
  • Master of Wine Jancis Robinson geeft de wijn een mooie score van 16/20 (‘Black cherries and the sticky dark sweetness of blackberries at the bottom of the jam pan. Slightly smoky, a touch of black olive and stalky thyme, white pepper. Swarthy and chewy and rustic but the fruit is gleaming ripe and this would be great with soy-sticky ribs’)
  • Wijncriticus James Suckling (Wine Spectator) geeft de wijn een uitstekende score van 90/100 (‘Fruit-driven, crunchy and refreshing, with notes of wild strawberries, small berries, flowers and mild spices on the nose.
